Can you trust any government to tell the truth?  No.  You can trust a government to attempt to accomplish the goals of whichever oligarchs might be in authority at the time.  There is no difference in which political party is in power except for the promises they make to get elected.

Power corrupts.  And absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Can we ever be forgiven for what we did?   Can a soldier be forgiven for doing what was ordered?   Does God hold the soldier accountable for atrocities, or the General who gave the order but did not want their hands stained?
